The WOW Sensory Centre is home to a number of businesses all focused on the health & wellbeing of children and families.
Our vision is to create a welcoming, fun, positive and nurturing environment!
The Centre came into being by Kelly Wilson, who first brought Baby Sensory to Adelaide in 2014. Originally from Adelaide, she was living in the UK for 8 years where she had her first baby and attended Baby Sensory classes there. She fell in love with the programme so much she knew she had to get involved and hence it started here when she moved back.
Toddler Sense, the follow on programme from Baby Sensory was then introduced two years later. It was evident very early that a space was needed all on it’s own for the classes to run, in order to store equipment and provide a comfortable venue for Families to attend.
The WOW Sensory Centre was then found in July 2017 as a permanent home and it has gone from strength to strength with the number of classes and days growing as well as our birthday parties being a huge hit!
Within the Centre is:
Meet the Core Team
Kelly is originally a Registered Nurse and has a true passion for babies and children. She has completed Level 1 and 2 of Rhythmic Movement Training and has an interest in the brain development and attachment of babies and young children. She has two children who are currently almost 5yrs and 2.5yrs and her favourite stage has definitely been the newborn stage! Her favourite activity in Baby Sensory is ‘To & Fro’ and often tears up during activities because of the emotion they evoke and seeing the precious moments between Parents and their Babies. Seeing babies reach milestones for the first time in class including signing also brings out the proud Mum tears in her. Kelly adores Toddler Sense classes and how much fun they are! She loves getting to know all of the little personalities and giving them all a proper greeting hello and goodbye as well as acknowledging their feelings is of the upmost importance to her.
Sari joined the team in July 2018 as a Toddler Sense Class Leader and is a bundle of fun and positive energy! She always has a smile and friendly ear to listen. Sari is a trained volunteer with the Australian Breastfeeding Association and is passionate about play in early childhood for development. She has a 3yr and 1yr old and has attended both Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense with both of her girls. Sari loves that our classes promote education not only for the children but also Parents and believes that the added value is that you walk away with more knowledge about your child’s development. She loves camping, being outdoors, attending yoga and sewing.
